The main aim of this study course is to consolidate theoretical competence at the ecosystem level, to adopt the knowledge practically for typological unit identification and evaluation of typological causality for forest management measures.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Students strengthen their theoretical knowledge on forest ecosystem structure, function, classification and management of typological dependence. Students acquire the ability to independently determine the Latvian forest type taxonomic units. After teaching practice students are competent to assess the forest management measures planning and implementation of compliance with the conditions of forest ecology.
