Course abstract
Conceptual bases of Forest Legislation. International conventions and agreements regulations of the Europe Union. Forest Legislation of Latvia as a instrument of National Forest Policy. Forest Legislation development (Forest Act, restrictions). Forest as private property, special requirements.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
After this course students will have knowledge about major legislation in the forest sector and its application in practice. Students can use their knowledge for solving conflict situations in forest management.
