Course abstract

Aim of the study course is to provide students with knowledge about forest mensuration as science that develops methods for timber quantity, quality and value for growing trees in the forest in past, present and future. Study course consists of practical and theoretical parts.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After study course students will gain knowledge and understanding about forest mensuration and its role in forestry. As a result will acquire skills to independently define and analyze qualitative and quantitative indicators for a single or group of trees and to be competent to choose appropriate measures for solving practical problems.
