Course abstract

The course provides knowledge on basic terms of international law, explains their nature, and deals with objects and subjects of international law and international legal relations. Students get introduced to the role and significance of international institutions in law enforcement.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge – students gain knowledge on the nature and role of international law in the modern society. They get an understanding of the most important institutes – subjects and objects of international law, their interaction and relation to other branches of law; skills – students are competent in international legal acts, conventions, and statutes, are able to elaborate and conclude international contracts and participate in founding institutions, and act on behalf of an enterprise as its representative; competence – students gain knowledge and practical skills, as well as skills in analysing and independently assessing legal facts in the area of international law for institutions and enterprises operating within their competences regarding processes of international law enforcement.
