Course abstract

The course is viewing the possibilities of the artificial intelligence (AI) in agriculture. The section covers the definition and historical development of AI. The course also includes two approaches of the artificial intelligence: classical AI and modern AI. The course include: the searching techniques, the expert systems and the knowledge base related to agriculture. An overview is given of the neural network, genetic algorithms and agent methods. The course covers using of robotics in the technologies of the agriculture. The precision agriculture technologies are reviewed.

As a result of learning this course master students get:
• Knowledge about the artificial intelligence (AI) in agriculture;
• Skills to link knowledge about the artificial intelligence (AI) in agriculture with content of other courses;
• Competence to solve problems in own profession and to development professional field.
