Course abstract
Introduction and history of IT legislation development. USA and EU experience of development of IT legislations and standards. Overall description of Latvian IT legislations and standards. Standards of software, data communication, information protection and security. Intellectual property rights. Personal data protection. Electronic documents. Internet security and regulations.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
• Knowledge about laws and standards of IT field;
• skills to analyze regulatory legislations of IT field;
• competence to apply normative documentation of IT field in the practical entrepreneurship.
