Course abstract

The aim of this course is to provide students with components of the automation systems and with programmable logical controllers (PLC). The course subjects are controllers programming languages and specific software. Additional to the theory some practice examples would be shown using the real PLC systems.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge about modern programmable logical controllers and its usage in control systems;
• skills to program Siemens logical controllers and to develop simple control systems;
• competence to individually analyse the control system needed functionality for completing the specific industrial control task.
