Course abstract

Branches of water management. Hidrotechnics. Principles of water legislation. Formation of runoff( discharge). Water balance. Control of runoff (discharge). Design of water fall structures. Water reservoirs, their parameters. Classification of water structures. Earth dams, their types and elements of croo-section. Water fall structures and principles of their calculations. Water filtration.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• The course develops knowledge and understanding about hidrotechnical structures, basic principles of construction projection. General information on hidrotechnical structures.
• The course enables students to make construction drawing, critical evaluates details, materials and calculations.
• Competence - to evaluate affordable materials and constructions design hidrotechnical structures and operation.
