Course abstract

Acquiring this study course students acquaint one self with last trends in electrical drive and electric drive’s control, power electronic, frequency inverters application and programming, modern transducers, basic components for automation, floppy automation, application of programmable logical controllers (PLC) and making control algorithms for PLC, industrial computers.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge - of the last trends in electrical drive and electric drive’s control, power electronic, use and programming frequency inverters and PLC;
• skills- to select and apply the control and protection apparatus, programming programmable logic controllers and frequency converters;
• competence - the ability to develop, test and use the control and protection equipment, programming of programmable logic controllers and frequency converters, soft-start device.
