Course abstract

Course of study includes information about parameters of optical radiation, electric lightning devices, as well as classification of necessary kind of lighting. Students are acquainted with types of the water heaters and heat pumps. Discussed about the basic of space ventilation as well as the classification of the ventilation system. Students performs the analyses of different sources of light, learn PC programs for lighting calculation.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge about design of electric technology and operating principles of it, about types of electric lighting and basic concepts of it;
• skills to formulate and critically evaluate the basic issues of lighting projects; choose a particular study and exploration of appropriate calculation methods, justifying the choice of the interpretation of the data results; define the results of the appropriate conclusions;
• competence: do the electric lighting calculation activities using a specially provided software, analyze the results; prepare the lighting calculation for indoor and outdoor.
