Course abstract

The study course includes water heating systems and those component parts: pipes and heaters hydraulic and thermal calculations. Calculation of hydraulic resistance of pipes and dimensions are acquired as well as heat losses of premises and building, required heat power and parameters of heater.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge: the hydraulics an thermal calculations of heating systems and it's component parts;
• skills: to be able to calculate the components of heating system and operating conditions;
• competence: to choose heating system component parts and it's operation conditions and operation regimes.
