Course abstract

The course includes building heating systems, those connection to heat networks. The design and operation of water heating systems, steam systems and those component parts, electric heating, heating with gas heaters, heated floors with water pipes and electric heating cables, heat generators are acquired. The renovation of old systems, heating systems control systems and it's components are analysed.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge: the construction and operation of heating systems and component parts, operation providing elements;
• skills: to be able to calculate the components of heating system, to evaluate those suitability for object;
• competence: to choose the most suitable heating system for the given object, to evaluate the improving solutions of the operation and control of heating system.
