Course abstract

The course includes hydraulic and thermal calculation principles and methods of water heating systems and those component parts. Calculation of hydraulic resistance of pipelines and those dimensions with different methods are worked out as well as heat losses of premises and building, selection of heater and required heat power and parameters.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge: in the hydraulic and thermal calculation methods of water heating systems and it's component parts;
• skills: to be able to calculate the parameters of the heating system components, to choose them;
• competence: to choose heating system component parts, to choose and calculate operation conditions and operation regimes of heating system.
