The study course extends knowledge on economic relationships, basic principles of performance and economic features of the Latvian national economy, reveals problems in state’s economic growth. The objective of the course is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge on the Latvian economy within the context of industries. The structure of the national economy, its optimization, priorities are studied and analysed. Students gain knowledge on analysis of macroeconomic relationships and their application within the scope of the Latvian national economy.
Knowledge about changes in economics of Latvia, situation and structure of economics, indicators characterizing the situation in economics; Skills: independently to analyze situation in economics of Latvia; to describe situation in different branches of economics of Latvia; Competences: master students are able to independently analyze new and unexpected problems, processes, and trends in both the world’s economy and the national economy of Latvia and its particular industries and to predict their further development directions.
