Students require knowledge, skills and reflection abilities including the aspects of: spot rate, forward-exchange contract, swap, hedging, documentary credit, collection, bank guarantee, option, International Commercial Terms, Incoterms.
After completing the course student will have:
• Knowledge on foreign exchange transactions in international trade, the use of financial instruments that reduce the exchange risk, on the payment methods: documentary collections, documentary letter of credit. The knowledge of international trade rules Incoterms 2000, and special trade financing methods.
• Skills – understand that in the market economy conditions foreign exchange transactions in international trade are essential and being able to define and use any derivative financial instruments to reduce financial risks.
• Competence – acquired theoretical knowledge, practical skills and understanding on the impact of the exchange rate on international commercial transactions and financial instruments usage in order to reduce exchange rate fluctuations. Gain an understanding of derivative contracts and future contracts: forward transactions, futures transactions.
