Course abstract

Agrarian economy is the subject of branch studies, grounded on the economic theory. It studies relations of production and economic laws in agrarian branches. Subject reveals the principles of economic laws and possibilities to raise the economic efficiency and development in agrarian branches.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge: students can present their basic and special knowledge related to agricultural economics or agricultural profession and critically assess this knowledge and have an understanding of the most important terms and relationships in agricultural economics. Skills: students can use their theoretical fundamentals and skills in professional, innovative, or research activities, formulate and analytically process information, describe problems and solutions regarding agricultural economics or agricultural profession, and explain and discuss them in a justified way. Competencies: students can independently obtain, select, and analyze information and use it to make decisions and solve problems in agricultural economics or agricultural profession, demonstrate their professional ethics, assess the effect of their professional activity on the environment and society, and take part in developing agricultural economics.
