Course abstract

Doctoral students learns the modern functional Real Property Management System, its goals and objectives. The program provides insight into the ownership of Real Property Compositions, contributing to rational land use planning and efficient land use and protection. The program focuses on a comprehensive understanding of Real Property Management. The knowledge acquired during the study process can be used in the development of scientific works, as well as in work in state institutions, local governments, as well as in private business.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

1.Is able to critically understand the essence and content of real property management issues by understanding the composition, rights and use of real estate - presentations in seminars 1, 2, 3 and 4.
2.Is able to independently and analytically perform Spatial development planning, detailed planning and land use activities at EU, national and local level – presentations at seminars 3, 5, 6. and 7.

3.Managing how to assess and address real property management issues based on knowledge of real property market, real property valuation and land information system management - presentations at seminars 8, 9 and 10.

5. Land registration systems and principles (4h).
6. Functions and tasks of cadastre and land book (4h). Seminar 4 - Functions and tasks of the cadastre and land books (8h).
7. Spatial development planning (4h). Seminar 5 – Spatial development planning (8h).
8. Land use planning (4h).
9. Spatial development planning at municipal level (4h).

Requirements for awarding credit points

The exam consists of:
•oral examination on theoretical knowledge acquired during the course,
•received evaluation of work in seminars,

•submitted independent works.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Studying of the indicated scientific and educational literature (monographs, scientific articles and their collections, conference and seminar material specialized scientific periodicals, which are necessary for profiling study courses of professional, academic and scientific study programs).
Formulate and present the results of independent work before each seminar in Word or PowerPoint format, up to 10 pages or 15 slides, respectively.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

1.The examination takes place in an oral form at the commission (consisting of 3 lecturers, approved by the order of the Vice-Rector for Studies), discussing the answers given to the examination questions, concluding the study course and summarizing the results of the work.

2.Following reports (presentations), seminars assess whether students demonstrate knowledge and critical understanding of rational and effective real property management, use and protection, or have acquired the skills to perform real property management activities independently, at state and local government level, and to carry out a scientific evaluation of the problems of real property management and, if possible, to eliminate scientifically justified shortcomings.
