Course abstract

To master the topographical surveying and compiling of plans; demarcation and surveying of linear tracks; leveling of surface; demarcation of axis of structures; surveying with different simple instruments.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After completing the studies student will have:
• knowledge of the geodetic instruments, the geodetic measurement types the methods of horizontal surveying, the making and projection of graphical materials;
• skills to use the theoretical knowledge in practice: to establish and measure horizontal surveying support net, to make the measurements of the situation and terrain using different approaches, to evaluate the accuracy of measurement, to process and compile the results of measurements performed, to work carefully and accurately, to work independently as well as in a team, to design measurement documents based on the requirements;
• competence to independently access, select and analyze information necessary for the work, and use it to make decisions and to address problems with an executable work, understanding of professional ethics
