Objective of the study course is to provide knowledge of the basic principles of construction production process, the technological documentation of construction works and the procedures for drawing up such works, knowledge of the types of works - preparatory works, transport works, ground works, drilling, blasting, piling and masonry works of the construction site, as well as the basic principles of the technical and tariff setting of works and the basic works; technological design.
• By finishing the first part of the course, students must have knowledge of the basic principles of the most important technology for carrying out works.
• Skills: Student should be able to develop a calculation of the working capacity of the simplest construction jobs. Skills are assessed on the basis of an individual task – the development of a simple construction capacity calculation.
• Competence: the regulatory framework for construction production. Competence is assessed on the basis of an individual task - calculation of the labour capacity of the simple building.
1. Content of the construction production process and its role in national economics – 2h lecture
2. Basic principles of the technological design of works – 2h lecture
3. Occupation and qualification levels of construction workers. Technical and tariff setting of works. Scheduling of works in time and space – 3h (1 lecture + 2h pr.w.)
4. Estimation of the capacity of works – 2h (1h lecture+1 pr.w.)
5. Types, classification and characteristics of construction machinery – 2h (1h lecture+1h lab.w.)
6. Types of mechanisms to drive – 3h (1h lecture+2h lab.w.)
7. Lifting machines, their types and use in transport works and construction process – 2h(1h lecture+1h lab.w.)
8. Transport and loading - unloading machines – 2h(1h lecture+1h lab.w.)
9. Ground-handling machines – 3h(1h lecture+2h lab.w.)
10. Finishing machines and hand tools – 2h(1h lecture+1h lab.w.)
11. Construction site treatment – 2h lectures
12. Transport works and loading and unloading work – 2h(1h lecture+1h pr.w.)
13. Ground works, mechanical development of soil – 3h(2h lecture+1h pr.w.)
14. Drilling works, blasting works – 3h lectures
15. Pile jobs – 2h lectures
16. Masonry works 3 h (2h lecture+1 pr.w.)
By successful completion of the first part of the study course student gets a check mark with rating. To obtain a check the student must complete a labour consumption calculation for small construction work.
Students independently acquire knowledge by studying of technical literature and by performing of the individual task of labour consumption calculation
The assessment is based on the quality of the developed individual task of labour consumption
