The course introduces students to general knowledge on motor roads, parking places and bridges including design, construction and service of motor roads and the impact of ones to the environment. In tutorials students acquire the skills for use of road design methods and fulfill the ones by working out the course project.
After completing the course student will have:
• knowledge- general knowledge on motor roads, skid resistance of road coverings, requirements of road safety, specifications for construction materials designed for roads and squares and knowledge on engineering structures;
• skills- to perform the technical design of motor roads; to make a good choice engineering structures needed for environmental protection;
• competence- ability for analysis of technical designs of roads and squares in order to make a good choice of type of bearing structure and materials.
