Course abstract

The aim of the subject is to offer extended knowledge about functional and compositional basic element of the landscape space interrelation. The study subject improves ability to design the landscape, taking into account harmony, proportion, scale, light and shade, plan and background importance, analyze landscape aesthetics, to delve into the functional-artistic presentation of details. In the course project, there is planned to establish a public outdoor space with the art character significance, by using artistic installations, sculptural objects and specific kinds of greenery.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

The outcome of the study course:
• knowledge about a harmonious landscape design and specific greenery – roof gardens, green walls, topiaries,
• establish skills to use design elements of composition and function, by using artist the artist’s sculptural and installation objects, establish a technical solution of the area territory improvement details,
• ability to evaluate assess and plan landscape silhouette, dominants, elements creating mood.
