Course abstract

Students acquire knowledge, skills in creating of urban space. Difference between urban and rural landscape, factors determining urbanized landscape, historical stages of town building, modern zoning of towns, characteristic landscape of each zoning element and interrelation; building and nature-principal elements of urbanized area; transport in town; methods of space organization of town.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After completion of study course students will have:
• knowledge about urban planning principles;
• skills to develop comprehensive plans for urban space;
• competence in management of urban planning und creating of urban landscape.
