Course abstract

The aim of the subject of study is to gain knowledge of the open space design, considering the terrain, the nature of the street-bed, existing (projected) rain gutter placement, the solutions of the retaining walls, cover materials and their constructive incorporation, positioning of ditches, etc. . The design of these individual elements of the landscape space is an important condition for further progress in the study of the process of designing the compositional functional structure of the urban space (rural environment) in course projects.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge of urban space (rural areas) and the constituent elements of nature, which are necessary for ensuring the functional space.
• Skill create the form of open space, balancing its functionality with compositional elements in the design of nature and of the vertical layout.
• Competence to plan the vertical layot the drainage of overground water; competence to formulate and analyze in detail the planning of earthworks and calculus the balance of earthworks.
