Course abstract

The aim of the subject of study is to provide an understanding of the transformation processes in the cultural and historical space up to the present day in relation to the urban environment or rural landscape space. The subject of study develops ability to assess the impact of the anthropogenic load on the existing landscape space and compare the development opportunities of the specific area. The course project includes the study of archival materials and local spatial plans, developing the definition of the study aim, assignments and the hypothesis. The collection of the study materials.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge – on the recreation development of urban space or the changes processes of cultural historical space.
• Skills to appraise the contribution of territorial planning of municipality in the improvement of the quality of landscape (urban space).
• Competence to perform research in scientific value in the planning of landscape architecture.
The collection of the study materials in graphs, tables, comparative diagrams, sketches and photo fixation materials is mandatory.
