Course abstract

The aim of the study course is to acquire classification, rules of usage and designing needs of small scale building and art structures used in outdoor. In course is included historical overview. Students will get acquired with constructions and equipment for wide range of functions, and used materials for them. Process of study course includes development of course project with many drawings of outdoor design elements.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Students will get:
• knowledge about constructions and equipment needed for outdoor, guidelines for designing them, usage, style and artistic formation, knowledge about safety rules for constructions and equipment;
• skills in development drawings of road and square casing, in constructing for outdoor space furniture, stairs, sloping, retaining, and to develop design for fencing, gates and other garden elements;
• competence to choose the most appropriate outdoor space design elements, with high technical and artistic quality for the recreation, sport, children playground and organization of outdoor space.
