Course abstract

The aim of the course is to give provide knowledge about the most notable landscape now nowadays, architects and fulfilled objects created by them in Europe, Asia, and America. A special attention is drawn to the parks, gardens and public outdoor objects of the new type, modern greenery formation, and assortment of plants, roof gardens, green facades, and ecological solutions. The subject of the study process consists of lectures and independently prepared reports in workshops.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

The outcome of the study course:
• knowledge about outstanding nowa days landscape architects, whose projects are implemented fulfilled in several countries, knowledge about innovations in nowa days landscape architecture and garden art, about the use of plants,
• skills of using new solution and details in other study subjects of study,
• ability to evaluate unusual and brave solutions, the ecological approach in any landscape project.
