Course abstract

This course is an introduction to environmental psychology in landscape architecture. Focus is on landscape concept interdisciplinary link, aims and tasks. In course is viewed methodology of interaction between human and environment (systematic approach, field researches, problem-oriented and eclectic approach, interdisciplinary approach). Learning and practical using of theories about environmental psychology environment perceptions and its evaluation in architecture and landscape architecture field.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge: students know about the human and psychological aspects of environmental liabilities, students know the psychological approach in today's global threats, students aware of environmental psychology in relation to psychology and the landscape architecture.
• Practical skills: students can see the psychological causes of environmental problems in landscape space.
• Competence: students able to formulate, describe and analyze the examples of environmental psychology, selecting the necessary information and using theory to define them.
