Course abstract

The aim of the study course is to be able to draw up various crop rotations for a real or model farm, using a farm map and considering the farm's specialization. Be able to choose the most suitable precrops and aftercrops for crops included in the crop rotation scheme, develop an appropriate soil tillage and weed control plan, as well as calculate the muck balance for the created crop rotation. Be able to justify the calculations made and provide objective conclusions about the work done.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

1. Students will obtainthe knowledges and skills necessary for planning crop rotation design in farm, for valuation of farm’s production level.
2. They will raise competence to rational land use, to motivate decisions related to the complex measures for crop rotation systems, soil tillage and weed control.

3. This competences is necessary for students as future farmer or farmer advisors.
