Course abstract

The course of study contributes to knowledge acquisition and promotes students' understanding of comprehensive and specialized professional environment; to develop students’ skills of reflection, of developing hour synopsis, preparing and analyzing the lessons, choosing creative teaching techniques in an appropriate field, evaluating and analyzing their students' knowledge and skills. Students improve their personal, social and professional competence in dealing with theoretical and practical problem-solving for the profession in lifelong learning context, analyze the labor market in professional sector.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

•knowledge and understanding of the planning, organization and realization of pedagogical process in professional disciplines, understanding of nowadays conditions of creating and realization of professional study subject program, work organization of the lesson, management, and students' personal development dynamics - practical work;
•skills – to demonstrate knowledge and skills according specialized, professional field theory’s and technologies, to be able to scientifically justified and to organize and manage students' learning and vocational education training process for acquiring professional study subject program according to the changing labor market requirements; skills to use innovative teaching methods in vocational education; skills to speak at different audiences and skills to evaluate personal and students' growth, skills to join in lifelong learning - an independent work;
•competence - able to provide the pedagogical process planning, organization and realization of professional study subjects, able to speak at different audiences, able to create positive communication and cooperation; able to uncover the relationship between students' career opportunities and their professional development possibilities in selected sectors; able to evaluate growth, able to plan personal lifelong learning program - an independent work.

1 Didactic Principles of Teaching Professional Subjects.
2 Realizing the unity of education, upbringing and development in an hour.
3 Optimization of the pedagogical process in the lessons of professional subjects.
4 A work-based learning organization.
5 Promoting students for career development.
6 Specifics and means of teaching and upbringing methods.
7 Preparation of professional lessons.
8 Training Plans and Programming Approaches to Work-Based Learning.
9 Development of the thematic plan of the lesson, lessons of the lessons.
10 Requirements for a modern professional subject lesson.
11 Control and assessment of student achievement.
12 Methodology of Student Workshops, Competitions, Exhibitions, Olympiads Organization and Conduct.
14 Methodology for compiling and evaluating teaching aids and textbooks.
15 Preparation of methodological materials.
16 Preparing students for a qualification examination and a qualification job.

Requirements for awarding credit points

80% lecture attendance, successful evaluation of the independent works and practical works.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Independent work - a compendium of extended lessons.
Independent work - a study paper prepared in a professional subject (volume 20 pages is submitted electronically).
Independent work - prepared presentation in a professional subject.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

Independent works have been successfully completed and sent in due time. A well-trained, well-organized exposition of lessons delivered to the requirements at the specified time (up to 3 pages).
According to the requirements written study paper, correctly formatted and submitted before the presentation in the professional subject (volume 20 pages - submitted electronically).
Presentation prepared and delivered as required.
The mark of the exam is the arithmetic mean between the individual works and the presentation.
