Course abstract

The aim of the study course is to get acquainted with technical information obtaining methods of energy equipment: analyzing of technical and reference literature, documentation, observations, interviews and discussions. Students studying an analyzing the energy equipment of enterprise, it's performance, principles of energy accounting, take part in production process - observation and performance works.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge - critical understanding of technical, technological and energoeconomical nature of the documentary information and analysis of its – test;
Skills - definition and critical evaluating of the basic parameters of energy equipment; choosing of a particular study and appropriate research methods for data obtaining and processing, grounding of the choice; interpretation the data results, the definition of the results of the appropriate conclusions – test;

Competence - processing the registration of observations about technological process; to make the processing of information – test.

Course Content(Calendar)

Full time intramural studies:
1. Completion of formalities in the company. Execution of documents when hiring. Receipt of appropriate safety equipment instruction. 8 h
2. General acquaintance with the object of practice. Preparation of a calendar of the internship. Getting acquainted with the work to be done during the internship to acquire the intended skills. 8 h
3. Getting acquainted with the specifics of the company's work and its tasks.8 h
4. In the presence of the practice manager gets acquainted with the production equipment in the company, with the heat and power supply systems, production objects and the work to be performed in them. 16 h
5. Carrying out work in accordance with the internship program in order to acquire basic skills in the areas indicated in the program to the extent that would allow to perform the tasks envisaged in the next internship. Analysis of technical, technological and energy economic documentary information. 40 h
6. Carrying out work in accordance with the internship program in order to acquire basic skills in the areas indicated in the program. Observation of the technological process and interviews with those working in the specific practice places. 40 h
7. Carrying out work in accordance with the internship program in order to acquire basic skills in the areas indicated in the program. Registration of technological process observations and participation in executive works. 40 h
8. Carrying out work in accordance with the internship program in order to acquire basic skills in the areas indicated in the program. Information processing for practice report. 40 h
9. Collection of data necessary for drawing up the practice report in accordance with the instructions in the practice content. Preparation, approval of the internship report and receipt of the internship site feedback. 32 h
10. Execution of the necessary documentation related to work in the company. Receipt of the characteristics of the precursor. 8 h

Requirements for awarding credit points

Practice 6 weeks. Test with mark - discussion, defense of practice report.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The evaluation of study results is based on the student's answers during the test, evaluating the report of the practice, and the student has presented the relevant knowledge.
