BūvZ6045, Geodetic Support System I
Study course provides deepened information about the role of geodetic support systems in successful development of the national economy, their deployment principles, long-term protection and conservation. In the course are viewed the theory of errors and equalization of geodetic measurements, the use of it in equalization of integrated geodetic networks. Students get acquainted with cartographic projections of the Earth ellipsoid surface display on a plane, geodetic networks and their creation methods. Students acquire the precise geodetic measurements for geodetic network installation.
• knowledge and understanding of the geodetic network types, their creation methods, taking into account the expected tasks of the network, accuracy performance and terrain character;
• skills to independently perform precise angle, distance, elevation and GNSS measurements, mathematically process measurement results and evaluate their accuracy;
• competence to rationally organize the creation of necessary precision geodetic network by selecting the most appropriate methods and tools, depending on the network task.
