The course introduces students to general knowledge on motor roads, parking places and bridges including specifications for design and construction. In tutorials students acquire the skills for use of road design methods and fulfil the ones by working out the course project.
Knowledge: general knowledge on motor roads, skid resistance of road coverings, requirements of road safety, specifications for construction materials designed for roads and squares and knowledge on engineering structures. Skills: to perform the technical design of motor roads; to make a good choice of engineering structures needed for environmental protection. Competence: ability for analysis of technical designs of roads and squares in oder to make a good choice of type of bearing structure and materials.
