Course abstract

In the 2nd year of the Master's program, Master's students, with the experience of research work accumulated within the framework of the internship Wood Materials, continue to carry out theoretical and practical research on their chosen work topic in the direction of wood technologies.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Master students acquire and strengthen knowledge about the planned research and acquire skills to perform experiments independently, to process the obtained data. As a result, master students are competent to conduct a full cycle of scientific research from idea to implementation. Knowledge skills and competencies are assessed for each master student according to the prepared summary of independent work and in the form of a presentation prepared for discussions.s.

Course Content(Calendar)

Each activity has 1 week or 40 hours. Within the internship, students work independently. 1. Carrying out planned inspections. 2. Collection and systematization of empirical data. 3. Research data processing and analysis. 4. Testing of research hypotheses. 5. Comparison of research results with similar research results 6. Development and defense of practice report

Requirements for awarding credit points

1. Write and submit an individual review of the work done during the practice, analysis of the experimental data.
2. Defend the practice report on the research results.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Master's thesis on independent work is developed on the basis of data analysis and discussion section on master's thesis, comparing research carried out elsewhere

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The final grade of the study course consists of:
1. Independent work - 50%
2. Discussion of collected information - 50%
