Acquisition of finishing methods and technologies used in the field of wood materials. Basic principles of surface finishing and classification of finishing materials. Acquisition of finishing technological process control methods and standardized quality assessment methods.
Knowledge of wood finishing technologies, finishing materials and their areas of use.
Skills to formulate and solve issues related to the wood finishing process, organize the finishing process and perform quality control.
Competence to analyze and improve the technological processes of wood finishing in the company.
1 Basic principles of wood finishing, meaning and use of finishing materials. (lecture, 3 hours)
2 Mechanical surface preparation for the finishing process. (lecture, 3 hours)
3 Finishing technological methods, advantages, disadvantages. (lecture, 6 hours)
4 Finishing materials drying technologies. (lecture, 2 hours)
4 Classification of finishing materials, advantages, disadvantages. (lecture, 4 hours)
4 Basic principles of finishing section design. Finishing coating drying technologies. (lecture, 2 hours)
5 Finishing process automation. Types of finishing effects and their application technologies. Finishing defects. (lecture, 2 hours)
6 Finishing quality assessment methods, testing standards, performance characteristics. Work safety. (lecture, 2 hours)
7 Preparation of finishing material and samples, finishing by spraying method. (laboratory work, 4h)
8 Evaluation of the quality of the performed finishing using standardized methods. (laboratory work, 4h)
Successfully write 2 tests and present to the audience the topic assigned by the teacher in relation to the finishing and finishing process. Presentation is evaluated both from the saturated side and from the ability to speak. At the end of the semester, an Exam is passed for everything acquired during the semester, promoting the coherence of knowledge.
The student independently researches one of the assigned finishing problems, solves it until the conclusion is reflected in front of the audience, developing not only professional issues but also techniques for a successful presentation of information. (24h)
Prepares for the first test, searching for and analyzing the control questions issued by the teacher. (8h)
Prepares for the second test, searching for and analyzing the control questions issued by the teacher. (8h)
Prepares for the exam by searching for and analyzing the control questions issued by the teacher. (8h)
Acquiring knowledge of wood finishing technologies, finishing materials and areas of use. Among the criteria and skills, formulates and solves issues related to the wood finishing process, organizes the finishing process and performs quality control. The final criterion is whether the student is able to evaluate, analyze and improve the entrepreneur of wood finishing technological processes.
