Principles of Forests Science

Course abstract

Study course is part of master study programme "Forest Science" educated in Forest Faculty. This is compulsory course of specializations "Forest Ecology and Silviculture" and "Forest economy and politics" for students not graduated Forest Faculty basic programmes "Forest Science" or "Forest engineering". Course introduces in forest ecology, silviculture, botany, forest economy, forest inventory and management planning, logging and wood processing.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Master, which is not finished academic or professional bachelor's study programs "Forest Science" or "Forest engineering" educated in Forest Faculty, obtain a basic understanding of above named bachelor's degree programs study courses content and use in forestry. Master learning skills, which are partly comparable to the Forest Faculty graduates in the ability to deal with forest issues. After learning course masters are competent to acquire Forest Science master study program specific requirements.
