Course abstract

Characterization of condition of science in Latvia, notes, properties of scientific survey, classification of science. Training system of scientists in Latvia. The working steps, methods, completion rules of survey of scientific research preparation of publications, participation in the conferences, implementation of scientific researches.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Students in this course will get knowledge and understanding about science and its importance for economic development, about scientific research methods. As a result students will get skills to analyse different processes, to find and determine questions for research, to choose corresponding solving methodology and to summarise results in a scientific report. Student will be competent to prepare the graduation thesis and carry out scientific researches by himself.
