Course abstract
Course introduces students with empirical research in sociology, emphasizing methods of quantitative data collection. There is shown specifity of quantitative sociology, main types of quantitative researches un most popular information gathering methods, as well data summaring, processing, and analyzing and results presentation.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge - of empirical social studies, with an emphasis on specifics of quantitative data acquisition method
Skills - quantitative data collection, processing and analysis and the resulting data presentation types Competence - understanding of society processes and their research necessity; to analyse and evaluate sociological researches.
