Course abstract
The main objective of the course is to provide students with increased and interdisciplinary understanding in both the theoretical and practical aspects of hydrology and meteorology. The application of an interactive approach in the lectures and practical works is used to ensure detailed insight in the concept of atmospheric basics, weather forecasting and hydrologic cycle balance methods.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Upon completion of the course students will gain:
• Knowledge in hydrology and atmospheric basics.
• Skills to overview the interdisciplinary character of river basin water balance computations. • Competence in collecting, evaluating, analysing and using the information in the field of hydrological and meteorological calculation.
