Course abstract
The aim of the study course is to present the requirements of manure removal and processing normative acts as well as the newest technology and machinery of manure removal from farms and storage, including manure processing and utilization issues.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge of manure removal and storage requirements, the latest manure management technologies and technical solutions. Knowledge is assessed in a test.
Skills to assemble and design manure removal, storage and processing technological lines. Skills are assessed in 2 laboratories and 2 practical works and tests.
Competences required for an engineer to take care of the technical and technological improvement of a manure removal and management line. Competences are assessed in 2 laboratories and 2 practical works and tests.

1. Requirements for farm manure removal and storage - 1h.
2. Farm manure output, including added sewage water and litter - 1h.
3. Physical – mechanical properties of farm manure, special farm manure litter - 1h.
4. Calculation of farm manure output (pr. work) - 1h.
5. Removal of farm manure by mobile aggregates and conveyers - 1h.
6. Equipment for removal of litter farm manure (lab. work) - 1h.
7. Removal of farm manure by conveyers, calculation (pr. work) - 1h.
8. Liquid manure removal technologies in cattle and pig farms - 1h.
9. Grooved floors, robots for cleaning grooved floors and manure ducts - 1h.
10. Practical solutions for liquid manure removal systems (lab. work) - 1h.
11. Production and removal of farm manure: test - 1h.
12. Farm manure intermediate storages, their installation - 1h.
13. Liquid manure homogenizers and pumps - 1h.

Requirements for awarding credit points
All practical work must be completed and passed. All tests must have a positive assessment and be passed. Type of examination - exam

Preparation for tests, using the literature given in the study program and consulting with the lecturer.
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
All tests must have a grade of at least 50%. All tests must be written and have a positive grade. If the grade in the tests is greater than 8, and all the work is submitted on time, the student can apply for an automatic exam grade. Exam.
