GIS software and ArcView applications in the Design Project. GIS data models. Vector and Raster data fils and applications. Layers of a digital maps, and preparation of data bases. Application of the GIS tools, methods in the design of map. | |
Learning outcomes and their assessment | |
• The course develops knowledge and understanding in the field of geographical information systems especially concerning digital cartography.
• The course enables students with an ability to evaluate GIS possibilities and eventual application in the field of studies. • The course elaborates competence to use the digital maps and data basis, that students can then bring to elaborate their own design projects and research approaches on relevant issues of their main field of studies. |
