Course abstract
Significance of science in modern society, higher education and professional activities have been actualized in the course. Students study structure of scientific work and its chronological stages, planning of the research process, processing of results and conclusions. Students acquire practical skills in work with scientific publications and documents concerning to science and education, as well as prepare their own scientific work structure and compose research annotation. Acquired knowledge can be involved in research for the study final work and for planning of continuing work.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
• Knowledge and understanding of the importance of scientific research in environmental engineering.
• Skills to critically evaluate literature and findings of the study in the environmental engineering sector. • Competence to define the goal and objectives for selected research topic, build a literature review, select research methods and plan their practical use.
