| Course abstract | |
| The aim of the course is to introduce the place of animal parasites in the zoological system, their morphology, biology, lifestyle, relations with the host's organism and the environment, as well as animal invasion diseases caused by them - development cycles, pathogenesis, clinical manifestation and pathological anatomical changes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention. | |
| Learning outcomes and their assessment | |
| Knowledge of the interrelationships of humans, animals and parasites in the ecosystem. - four tests
Skill – to find an explanation in the evaluation of parasitofauna; analyze and discuss the spread of invasive diseases, diagnostic methods of parasites; constantly diagnose disease agents, determine treatment and prevention - practical works. Competence - to be able to analyze and explain the harmful effects of helminths and parasitic protozoa in host vertebrates - cows, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, forest and other animals - practical works. |
