Course abstract
Students shall acquire knowledge of the structure, legal framework and organisation of the labour protection, fire safety and civil protection system, risk assessment, planning of civil protection measures, objects of increased danger and classification of dangerous substances. In practical terms, the skills of first aid and call for assistance and the use of personal protective equipment shall be acquired.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge and critical understanding of the structure of the labour protection, fire safety and civil protection system (test);
Skills to assess risk risks, establish a civil protection system in an undertaking, institution or local government, providing first aid and skills in the operation of a fire apparatus (skills); Organise events in exceptional situations within the scope of their competence (practical works).

1. Options for improving the work protection system.
2. Risks, characteristics, measurement, protection of the working environment.
3. Fire safety.
4. Fire, locale and disposal
5. Electrical safety.
6. Structure, legal framework, organisation and management of the civil protection system.
7. Tasks, rights and obligations of State, local government, legal and natural persons in the field of civil protection.
8. Special legal regimes (emergency and exceptional situations).
9. First aid skills in life-critical situations, call for assistance. 10. Personal protective equipment in the event of a disaster.
Requirements for awarding credit points
Type of test - clearing. To pass a set-off, the student needs to run the test.
Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work
Own-initiative work is not intended.
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
At least 50% of test questions must be answered correctly in order for the student to obtain the clearing and practical works worked.
