| Course abstract | |
| Professional practice is designed to strengthen theoretical knowledge and acquire competence corresponding to the study program. It covers human resource research and management in the career guidance. Students learn in-depth consulting and research methods in providing career guidance in human resources management. The theoretical knowledge acquired in the studies is strengthened in practice in order to acquire professional and soft skills and competence in the field of consulting and research in human resources management. The aim of the practice is to develop and prove in practical activity consulting and research competence in human resources management, providing career guidance to both individuals and organizations. | |
| Learning outcomes and their assessment | |
| Knowledge:
1.Students will be able to demonstrate an in-depth and integrated knowledge of career counseling and research in the management of human resources for enterprises and organizations in various industries of the economy - practical training report, a reference of the work placement supervisor, the presentation of the report Professional skills: 2.Plan, organize, manage and evaluate career counseling services in human resources management - practical training report 3.Analyze, compare and evaluate the use of various resources in consulting and research in human resources management - practical training report, a reference of the work placement supervisor, the presentation of the report 4. Knows how to choose and use methods of data acquisition and processing appropriate to the goals, tasks and target audience of the research; to analyze and evaluate the obtained results - practical training report, a reference of the work placement supervisor 5.Knows how to use information communication technologies (ICT) for information acquisition, compilation, evaluation, mathematical processing of the obtained data and comparison of results - practice review. Soft skills: 6. Able to responsibly plan and qualitatively perform the planned tasks within the set deadlines - practical training report, a reference of the work placement supervisor 7. Able to cooperate and establish contact with career support clients, as well as to work in a team and fulfill assigned tasks - a reference of the work placement supervisor 8. Able to self-educate, i.e., on the basis of self-assessment, be able to independently acquire and accumulate new knowledge, as well as improve existing knowledge and skills - practical training report 9. Able to independently analyze, synthesize and use the knowledge and skills acquired in previous study courses in new situations and in different ways - practical training report, a reference of the work placement supervisor, practice defense. 10. Able to reasonably discuss observations, conclusions and proposals - practice defense. Competence: 11. Able to use the theoretical knowledge and skills of career counseling in independent counseling activities according to the specifics of the activity of the chosen internship organization, the target audience and the environmental context - practical training report, a reference of the work placement supervisor 12. Able to use the acquired theoretical knowledge and skills in research methodology, planning and performing research in accordance with the research topic, purpose and tasks of the master's thesis - - practical training report 13. Able to coordinate counseling goals with research goals, by approving and evaluating the chosen or self-developed counseling methodology - practical training report, a reference of the work placement supervisor 14. Able to carry out research with scientific and practical significance (value) and evaluate the effectiveness of their counseling, based on the analysis and evaluation of the results obtained through research - practical training report, a reference of the work placement supervisor, practice defense. 15. Able to independently make decisions in their professional field, as well as to take responsibility for their own activities - practice review, internship manager's review, practice defense 17. | Course Content(Calendar) | |
| 1.Getting to know the organization/place of practice, its target audience and the tasks to be performed.
2.Research and evaluation of human resources management and career support, including consulting processes in the company/place of practice. 3.Development, approval and expert evaluation of career counseling methodology strategy, concept, model or program. 4.Collection and processing of research data, comparison of obtained results, analysis, synthesis and evaluation. Development of recommendations in career counseling and research in human resource management. 5.Self-analysis and self-evaluation of the student's consulting and research activities. Formulation of goals for further professional development. 6.Preparation and presentation of the practice report. |

| Requirements for awarding credit points | |
| The practical training is completed within the specified period, a practical training report is independently produced and successfully defended with the Practical Training Commission at the Institute of Business and Management Science. If the traineeship has not been completed in the required time period, if the traineeship defence has not been taken or has been evaluated with “failed”, it is considered to be an academic debt. | |
| Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work | |
| Within the framework of the study course description for independent work is given 400 hours, which consists of:
1) practice in a company / organization; 2) preparation of the practical training report in accordance with the content of the internship program; 3) preparation of the presentation of the practical training report and defence of the practice. |

| Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes | |
| Final assessment of professional practice - test with a mark. The practice is evaluated in a 10-point system. The lowest successful mark is 4 (almost satisfactory). The assessment is made by the practice defence commission on the basis of the content of the practical training report, the results of its practice defence and the reference of the practice manager. | |
