| Course abstract | |
| The professional practice is designed to strengthen theoretical knowledge, to acquire competence corresponding to the study program. During the internship, students practice counseling clients of different ages and social groups; tests diagnostic methods; provides support to clients in the creation of their individual career plans, CVs, motivation letters and job offer advertisements. The students implements their personal and professional development and prepares for the independent professional activity of a career counsellor; improve their research knowledge and skills. The theoretical knowledge acquired in studies is strengthened in practice in order to acquire professional and general skills and competence in career counseling. The aim of the internship is to practice and develop the theoretical knowledge, skills and competencies acquired during the study process for career counseling. | |
| Learning outcomes and their assessment | |
| Knowledge:
1.Students will be able to demonstrate an in-depth and integrated knowledge of resource management and resource constraints for enterprises and organisations in various industries of the economy - practical training report, a reference of the work placement supervisor, the presentation of the report Professional skills: 2. Search, select and systematize information; establish contact with the client; inform, persuade, support; evaluate the client's wishes and needs - practical training report, a reference of the work placement supervisor 3. Use different diagnostic methods; create individual career development plans for the client; work with career selection tests - practical training report, a reference of the work placement supervisor 4. Able to independently analyse, synthesize and use the knowledge and skills acquired in previous study courses in new situations and in different ways, while performing the work of a career counsellor. - practical training report. 6. | Course Content(Calendar) | |
| 1. Getting to know the organization/place of practice and the practice tasks to be performed.
2. Trying out different diagnostic methods when counseling clients of different ages and social groups. 3. Performing of individual consultations both together with the suprervisour of practice and independently. 4. Development and evaluation of individual career development plans. 5. Helping clients in writing a CV and motivation letter and creating a job advertisement application. Job interview (role play) trials. 6. Development of career counseling methodology. 7. Preparation of report. 8. Presentation and defense of the results of practice tasks. |

| Requirements for awarding credit points | |
| The practical training is completed within the specified period, a practical training report is independently produced and successfully defended with the Practical Training Commission at the Institute of Business and Management Science. If the traineeship has not been completed in the required time period, if the traineeship defence has not been taken or has been evaluated with “failed”, it is considered to be an academic debt. | |
| Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work | |
| Within the framework of the study course description for independent work is given 400 hours, which consists of:
1) internship in a company / organization; 2) preparation of the internship report in accordance with the content of the internship program; 3) preparation of the presentation of the practice report and defence of the practice. |

| Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes | |
| Final assessment of professional practice - test with a mark. The practice is evaluated in a 10-point system. The lowest successful mark is 4 (almost satisfactory). The assessment is made by the internship defence commission on the basis of the content of the internship report, the results of its internship defence and the reference of the internship manager. | |
