Course abstract | |
Professional practice is intended for strengthening theoretical knowledge in project development, for acquiring competence appropriate for the study program. It covers all stages of project development and project development process components. Students acquire in-depth knowledge of project development principles, specifics, different methods in practical project development. Theoretical approaches are strengthened in practice in order to gain professional competence in project development and to apply it to improve project development work in various institutions and organizations. | |
Learning outcomes and their assessment | |
The knowledge acquired during the theoretical courses on the project development process and methods can be applied in practice in the project development work. Knows the main principles, goals and objectives of the field project development, as well as their practical operation.
Students are able to independently analyze the processes and methods of workplace project development and to link them with theory. Able to critically evaluate project development problems and risks at the practice place, linking the acquired theoretical knowledge with practice. Able to independently, analyze and evaluate project development processes, as well as perform tasks in different areas of practical work, working individually and in a team. Able to solve problematic situations in project development, offer organizations innovative solutions. The assessment includes the student's report on the practice, defense of the practice and feedback from the supervisor. |

Depending on the chosen placement, the intern needs to get acquainted and analyze:
1.Work organization at practice place, its structure, responsibilities and competencies, goals, tasks and their context in project management; 2.The different levels of legal and regulatory frameworks affecting the operation of practice place and project development, the use of modern technology in project development; 3.Project development stages and project development components: pre-project situation identification; development of project proposals; definition of project objectives and tasks; project structure planning; project time planning; project budget planning; project staff resource planning; project team building; quantification of project work; project life cycle; project risk identification, evaluation and analysis; development of a project manual; development / preparation of project application; submission of the project application; 4.Project development process and project development specifics at practice place; 5.Predicting project changes, developing corrections; 6.Development and coordination of project development organizational structure; 7.Evaluation of project development environment, development of marketing plans and events; 8.Supervision and regulation of project development plans; 9.Conflict and risk management, project crisis management capabilities; 10.Project development documentation (from project idea to preparation of project closure documents); 11.The commissioning of the project development product; 12.Sustainability aspects of project development. |

Test with a mark Assessment includes practice report prepared by student, defense of practice and feedback from practice supervisor. | |
Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work | |
During the practice the student fulfills the tasks defined in the placement assignment, as well as performs tasks assigned to the intern by the supervisor of the chosen placement. | |
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes | |
Grading mark on a 10-point scale.
Practice must be completed and defended in due time. The practice is assessed by the quality of the practice assignment, which is determined by the lecturer. The practice is evaluated by the practice evaluation committee. |
