Course abstract
In the course students will get knowledge of strategic management of an enterprise, contents and methods. Using various, world-wide popular methods and models of strategic planning, they acquire knowledge of practical application of strategic management in order to accomplish the strategic analysis, planning and management of function of the enterprise.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge – about the process of strategic management at an enterprise (organization), its contents and methods of strategic management. Applying various worldwide popular strategic management and planning methods and models, students acquire knowledge of strategic management analysis and practical application of planning.
Skills – can apply the methods of strategic management at enterprises (organizations). Determine, formulate and assess the development direction of strategic management at an enterprise (organization), using various worldwide popular methods and models of strategic management. Competence – the knowledge and practical skills to accomplish the strategic management at an enterprise (organization) are acquired, thus insuring the effectiveness and competitiveness of the enterprise (organization) according to the social and economic context of Latvia and the EU.
