Course abstract | |
The aim of the study course is to provide students with knowledge, skills, and competence in business. Students gain knowledge about the nature of entrepreneurship, business environment, innovative, small, and medium business, forms of business. Understands the importance of capital and investment in business. Get acquainted with the possibilities of digital transformation and transformation of business. Acquires practical skills for starting a business and business planning. | |
Learning outcomes and their assessment | |
Knowledge
1. Knows the essence of business, understands the business terminology - practical work, test. 2. Able to show knowledge of business principles, legal norms, analyse the situation and solve problems - test. 3. Able to use the acquired theoretical knowledge in professional activities, to perform the necessary activities for business planning, start-up, and development - practical, independent work. Skills 1. Can evaluate the company's environment and the factors influencing it - practical and independent work. 2. Has the ability to explain and argue about the business environment, medium, small, and micro entrepreneurship, as well as the most important stages of the company's life cycle - discussions in classes. 3. Able to use theoretical knowledge of entrepreneurship - test 4. Able to justify the company's goals - practical work. 5. Ability to rationally plan and organize work in the company - practical work. 6. Can explain and discuss the company's activities - discussions in class (situation analysis). 7. Able to substantiate and express conclusions about entrepreneurship, offer solutions - independent and practical work. Competence 1. Requirements for awarding credit points | |
At the end of the study course a written final exam. Passing the exam is allowed for students who perform practical and independent work during the study course, successfully write 3 tests during the semester. | |

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes | |
The rating consists of:
• 30% independent and practical work. • 15% 1st test (topics 1-9). • 10% 2nd test (topics 10-16). • 15% 3rd test (topics 17-24). • 30% final exam. 10% corresponds to one point on the 10-point assessment scale. |
