Course abstract
Course introduce students with empirical social research, with the skills that are necessary for data collection – quantitative and qualitative data obtaining techniques, how to summarise, to process and to analyse survey data. To instruct how to carry out the social survey programme, how to use research tools and prepare a survey report.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
• Knowledge - on planning and implementing of sociological research, on development of research program, , on the essence of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Skills - to prepare/ evaluate research programs, as essential component of research of social process, to use quantitative and qualitative research methods, to be able to evaluate research quality and results, to present data and conclusions acquired during research. • Competence - select and use quantitative or qualitative research approach appropriately nature of research objects and defined objectives of research.
