Course abstract
Approbation of theoretical knowledge and innovations of selected areas within aspects of actual problems. Master students improve their skills and competences to use pedagogical and psychological theories in formal, non formal and informal education and research results in all education/teaching stages. Student approbates research conceptions in micro-, meso- and exo- environment. Master student’s portfolio reflects results of studies, where is shown his achievements and participate in school, state or international projects, participations in the scientific conferences, one report at least in scientific conference and publication.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge: acquired knowledge in integrated study courses for its approbation in practice – reflections.
Skills: to integrate and to apply theoretical knowledge in order to plan teaching/ learning objectives and processes of drawing up, implementing and evaluating educational programs for local region, Latvia and EU in the context of realizing Education for Sustainable Development, ability to synthesize theoretical insights from their experience, to reflect the presentation, ability to present their research and findings of the conference - Portfolio Competence: able to cooperate with the leaders of scientific research and able to prepare presentations and publications of the results, able to manage pupils and student research paper, able to develop and prepare the publications of educational resources, able to approbate the research conceptions and innovative solutions in practice - Summary.
Course Content(Calendar)
1.Identification of theoretical knowledge and planning of approbation in the pedagogical / educational problems of the selected area.
2.Clarification of individual approbation plan.
3.Approbation of theoretical knowledge in the context of education ecology.
4.Evaluation of pedagogy and psychology theories in the aspect of approbation.
5.Approbation of theoretical knowledge in micro, meso and / or exo environments of education.
6.Innovations in education / study / training.
7.Identification of actual problems and innovations of the particular educational environment.
8.Integrated research conceptions in planning learning / study goals and processes, implementing education for sustainability.
9.Theoretical knowledge in the development and / or implementation educational programs in the context of local regional, Latvia and the EU.
10.Evaluation of participation in school, regional, national and international projects.
11. Management of research activities of pupils and students.
12.Research activities, personal experience reflection and various documentation summary Portfolio.
13.Reflection of the theoretical knowledge, scientific research and practical experience in the report.
14.Report preparation, presentation.
15.Preparation of publication on approbation of theoretical conclusions and results of research activities, presentation. 16.Assessment of approbation plan, reflection of approbation. Test.

1. Ability to approbate and integrate knowledge acquired in study courses.
2. Ability to combine theoretical knowledge with your own experience. 3. Presentation skills.
